Izo Floor is the perfect solution for wooden floors with underfloor heating.
Hot Floors recommend using Izo floor with our Wood Floor Underfloor Heating kits. The Izofloor acts as an underlay for the floating laminate or engineered floor and as a heat insulation material for the underfloor heating system.
Izo Floor is 6mm thick and is made from Extruded Polystrene. As it is a soft based insulation it also helps to dampen any bumps or height changes in the sub floor when installing a floating floor. Izo Floor is easy to install, you simply lay the panels out of the sub floor in a overlapping brick like pattern and use duct tape to join the panels together. You then install the underfloor heating system and then install the floating floor as instructed by the manufacturer.
